Well, it seems we’ve been remiss in telling the story of the physical Kasa Smith…
In September 2012, we finally sold our Bell Street home. It was an event full of mixed emotions. Not the least of which was a bit of anxiety after we received the offer to try and find a new home before we closed on the first home.
That did not happen.
We ended up moving in with Nana and Poppa so that we would have the flexibility to make an offer as soon as we found The Right Place.
Finding The Right Place is a lot like finding a life partner, you gotta kiss a lot of frogs first. Our frogs were in the form of greedy sellers not accepting an offer before their open house and accepting a better offer without letting us first counter and dishonest sellers not disclosing that the majority of the back yard (and a sweet finished shed) actually sat on Harris County Flood Control land. We also had The One That Got Away, we were a little too late to commit and the seller really wanted to make the existing relationship work. We could respect that, and in the end it all worked out for the best because in February 2013, we finally found The One.
Pix of what she looked like when we first met after the jump.
