For Prudence’s First Birthday, Mama and Daddy threw a pool party at Nana and Poppa’s house. Daddy bought gifts and Mama made cupcakes and we all had so much fun!
Thanks to everyone who made it out!
So much else has been going on, it’s been hard to keep our little blog updated.
Let’s see, we’ve had a series of firsts:
Around 9 Months:
stopped nursing
moved to Nursery II
Around 10 Months:
March 24-1st time to eat chicken, YUM!
March 25- 1st time eating pork roast, Poppa took her pictures in the Texas Bluebonnets near their house.
March 27- a first we were not looking forward to: her first goose egg. Luckily Mama was visiting during outside play time after lunch when it happened. Prudence tried to bring a book outside with her and carrying it tripped her up when she crawled on the sidewalk. Poor baby!
March 28- signed for milk
March 29-rolled ball back and forth
March 30- said ball at school
Since then:
signing for eat, more and diaper
saying bubble, hi, bye, and “good girl” (which we think is her first word, since she has been calling the dog “go-go” for awhile)
took a step at school in front of Mama
On Father’s Day:
Prudence both said DaDa and took her first steps.
Since her 1st Birthday:
tasted dog food (tiny fists of pet food can fit through the crate bars no problem)
first fight – Prudence and a friend both like a yellow scarf in class. Prudence was playing with it and her friend Giulia took it it from her, so Prudence yelled “no” at her and Giulia pulled her hair, to which Prudence responded with trying to bite her. The teachers then intervened and separated the two.
Grandma Smith came to visit for a long weekend and then Aunt Valerie and Uncle Carl came in town to be a part of her baptism. They were also here for her first baseball game.
It’s been a fun and busy month!
