This week Prudence celebrated her three month birthday and also a few more firsts.
At her two month check-up, Prudence was at 90th percentile for height but 10th percentile for weight. So, Dr. McGrann wanted to check her weight in a couple of weeks. At the weight check, P was down to the 1st percentile, so Dr wanted us to supplement her feedings with either expressed breastmilk or formula. Mamma tried supplementing with milk, but just couldn’t keep up. So we decided to supplement with formula.
It worked. A week later she had gained almost an entire pound (and was back up to the 10th percentile).
She also tried her hand at holding the bottle herself and the biggest milestone so far: cooing.
Thursday morning, perhaps inspired by Nanna and Poppa’s visit the night before, Prudence had quite a bit to say.
We even got some of it on video, and Daddy will post that later.
